Vintage Gibson Mastertone 5-String Banjo with Gibson Hardshell Case - (No Serial Number Found)  Vintage Gibson Mastertone 5-string banjo featuring an ornate inlaid peghead with Gibson script logo, decorative mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays, and “MASTERTONE” inlaid at the base of the fingerboard. Features a mahogany-finished neck and resonator, decorative concentric rings on the resonator, and elaborately engraved metal hardware including the armrest and tailpiece. The interior of the rim retains the oval “Gibson-Mastertone Guarantee – Gibson Inc., Kalamazoo, Mich.” label as well as a faint factory/order number stamped into the wooden rim. Equipped with a traditional side-mounted fifth-string tuner. Includes a Gibson-branded fitted hardshell case with red plush interior and leather banjo strap. This instrument exhibits wear consistent with age and use, including surface scratches, finish wear, tarnishing and oxidation to the metal components. The banjo has not been professionally authenticated or dated, and originality of individual components has not been independently verified.
