Vintage Gibson Mastertone RB-250 “Bowtie” 5-String Banjo - Serial No. 125459 w/ Hardshell Case Offered is a vintage Gibson Mastertone RB-250 5-string resonator banjo featuring the desirable classic “Bowtie” styling associated with Gibson's postwar Mastertone banjos. Serial number 125459 is stamped into the rear of the peghead. Features include the Gibson-script peghead logo, crown-style peghead inlay, bound fingerboard with distinctive mother-of-pearl-style bowtie inlays, “Mastertone” fingerboard block, bound resonator with concentric decorative rings, chrome/nickel-finish hardware, armrest, and 5-string configuration. The banjo is also equipped with additional tuning hardware on the neck/headstock area as photographed. Includes the vintage fitted hardshell banjo case shown. The case exhibits age-related exterior and interior wear. The banjo presents well for its age with expected finish, hardware, and cosmetic wear consistent with a vintage instrument.
